I use brie wedges because I needed a pound wheel of brie, however, I was unable to locate what I was looking for. In addition, the wedges I used are a brand I enjoy. So, use a creamy brie you like. You just can’t go wrong with this recipe. Perfect for that impromptu party invite.

Waste no time…go grab the ingredients for this baked brie recipe. Super easy to make and can definitely be made ahead of time. Let your dish come to room temperature about 20 minutes before baking. The sweetness of fig jam, the crunch of homemade caramelized pecans, crispy salty prosciutto and that hint of orange from the zest will knock your socks off. Baked Brie with Fig, Pecans, and Crispy Prosciutto
Baked Brie with Fig, Pecans and Crispy Prosciutto
2 large wedges brie (1-pound total)
1/2 cup fig preserves or jam
1/2 cup chopped caramelized pecans, store-bought or homemade
3 oz. chopped prosciutto, fried until crispy
1 1/2 T. grated orange zest
Heat oven to 350 degrees. To prepare crispy prosciutto, place in a skillet over medium-high heat and fry until crispy; set aside.
Place brie in a small round or oval baking dish. Spread top of brie with fig jam or preserves.
Sprinkle on pecans, prosciutto and orange zest.
Bake for 10 to 15 minutes until gooey and warm.
Serve with Baguette chips, flat crackers, or sliced Fuji apples.
For homemade caramelized pecans: In a medium skillet, combine 1 T. light brown sugar, 1 t. unsalted butter, 1 t. light corn syrup, and pinch of salt. Stir over medium heat until all melted together.
Add in pecans, cooking 5 to 7 minutes, stirring constantly, making sure all pecans get coated.
Spread pecans in a single layer on parchment to cool before chopping, about 30 minutes.
