Thirst Quenchers

Welcome to Thirst Quenchers! Introducing my new feature, entertaining ways to socially lubricate your mind any time of the day or night…on weekends with friends, family, and special occasions like celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, showers, girls night, game night, movie night, happy hour and cocktail hour.

As we all know, the kitchen is the social gathering spot in the home. No matter the occasion, everyone loves to relax in an informal atmosphere with food and drink. Your guests are able to engage in conversation easily. Nothing prepares your guests for an awesome evening than a refreshing cocktail. That’s why I’ve created Thirst Quenchers. A place where you and like-minded individuals can find creative cocktails, both alcohol and non-alcoholic refreshments. I’ll even throw in flavored teas, kiddie and virgin drinks. Anyone can open up a bottle of wine but not everyone is a wine drinker, right? You want and need variety. You may not always know what to serve and if you’re like me, you might like to change things up a bit from the usual. Those of us who like to entertain are becoming more informed and educated on types of liquors available and combining flavors. Don’t be afraid to experiment is my motto.

Thirst Quenchers

Visit your local liquor store for recommendations on what whiskeys, gins, rums, Bourbons, vodkas, and sparkling wines to keep on hand to name a few. Your store will also have any mixers you may be needing or try your hand at making your own fruit syrups and additives for your cocktails like tea and coffee. The flavor combinations are endless and so much fun to play with. Visit Liquor.com or The Cocktail Chronicles.com for inspiration and ideas for starters. When I have an idea running through my head, I visit both of these sites to get my creative juices flowing so to speak. That’s the fun of mixology. Go ahead, shake that shaker!

So check out my Thirst Quenchers feature and let me know what you come up with.  I’m a firm believer in adding some spirit to the party and feel it’s important to squeeze in some time for socializing in our crazy busy lives. Make the most of each moment with family and friends.

Salute!
