Tuesday night is known as Taco Tuesdays and I’m bringing you my version of Bold Beef Tacos. Kids love tacos and Mom’s and Dad’s, you love tacos, too. But do you struggle with getting just the right amount of flavor? Store-bought package mixes seem to have too much sodium and taste like sawdust. My Bold Beef Tacos are the answer to your prayers.
Growing up, Mom would make tacos and seasoning seemed to taste different and better back then. One package was perfect for a pound of ground beef and yummy tacos were ready in no time. It was always such a fun night. A while back when I started purchasing Penzeys Spices I decided to try their Bold Taco Seasoning. I thought I had died and gone to heaven with my first taste. Memories of Mom’s tacos entered my mind. So, since Taco Tuesday is around the corner again, I’m sharing my recipe for Bold Beef Tacos. Full of flavor, not too salty, not too hot but just right. Wait until you taste leftover beef which can be used for taco salad the next day. Nothing like good tacos with all the fixins.

First, go to Penzeys.com to purchase Bold Taco Seasoning. In addition, make sure to buy at least the 1/2 cup bottle. You will use 1/4 cup or four Tablespoons per one pound of coarse ground beef. We like our beef with substance around this house as a result more like beef served in Mexican restaurants. Second, you will brown your beef in a skillet, add in Bold Taco Seasoning and water. Simmer beef until all water has been absorbed, stirring to combine well. Fill your choice of taco shells as either soft or hard shells work in this recipe. Third, serve with all your favorite toppings like sour cream, lettuce, cheddar cheese, tomato, cilantro, onion, and salsa. Taco Tuesdays can be anything you want it to be especially where kids are involved.

I like to serve my tacos with Pico de Gallo. My recipe follows at the end of this post. My husband loves pico with tortilla chips as a snack and this recipe is perfect for snacking. On your next grocery run be sure to pick up all the ingredients for your favorite tacos. Hopefully there is a Penzeys Spices Store located near you and if not shop online at Penzeys.com to purchase this fabulous taco seasoning. No need to stress out about making mediocre tacos again. Get Bold Taco Seasoning for my Bold Beef Tacos soon and keep enough on hand for the next go round. My pantry is never without as I have learned my lesson. Use the taco seasoning for chicken and seafood tacos as well. It’s delicious, no joke.
