Wonder what to do with extra red wine? Somehow there always seems to be that bit of red wine or maybe guests would like something more refreshing. I consider this cocktail a take on Sangria but without all the fruit. No need to purchase expensive red wine for this drink and you might even have ginger beer on your bar. Make Cabernet Ginger Beer Spritzers for a fresh, crisp change of pace.
Ginger Beer is a perfect additive for cocktails and is splendid mixed with both wine and Vodka. Looking at an open bottle of wine one day, I decided to use it up by mixing with what happen to be Cabernet, ginger beer, and Maraschino juice. Serve this nose tickler (because of the fizz) over ice and garnish with cherries. You can adjust the amount of ingredients for you and your guests if desired. Use your favorite red wine as a result favorites always work best. Everyone’s taste is different hence why this type of cocktail is superb for parties and brunch. Cabernet Ginger Beer Spritzers are sure to be a party pleaser. You may even find yourself stirring up one of these on a fabulous Spring evening. Salute’!
