What would summertime be without great tasting barbecue? Well, heads up because with my Cookbook of the Month – June 2016, I’m recommending a book filled with sauces, rubs, and marinades to help you create some of the most flavorful and delicious barbecue ever. Welcome to my Cookbook of the Month – June 2016 selection, Barbecue Bible! Sauces, Rubs, and Marinades by Steven Raichlen. I featured Steven’s book, the Barbecue Bible last month. When I have no time to create my own sauce, rub or marinade, I pull out this trusty book.
Cookbook of the Month – June 2016
In my recommendation of Barbecue Bible! Sauces, Rubs, and Marinades, the recipes come from traditional recipes which have been around for years and decades while others have been collected by Steven through his world travels. Others have been created by family members, professional pit masters and chefs from all over this country because they love great bold flavors. This cookbook contains more than 200 recipes for rubs, spice pastes, marinades, barbecue sauces, ketchups, mustards, salsas, chutneys, and relishes. I would say this cookbook has just about everything you need for enjoying great barbecue. Each recipe has food suggestions for use by themselves or combinations as well as complete dishes.
I love my Cookbook of the Month – June 2016. Last month the Barbecue Bible Cookbook was my May 2016 featured cookbook. I recommend purchasing both. I guarantee you will not be disappointed and you’ll find yourself referring to this cookbook quite often. Whether you consider yourself a grill jockey, pit master, barbecue guru or just want to learn more about grilling and barbecuing techniques, add this cookbook to your repertoire.
Happy Grilling!!!
