I’ve gotten this magazine from its inception several years ago and I’ve been hooked ever since. Take peek into “Bake From Scratch”. Offered six times a year along with special editions takes baking to a whole new level. Read on for a journey through an exceptional publication for any baker whether a beginner or a novice.

Want to know why I think this magazine is so special? First of all, Bake From Scratch magazine features bakers from all walks of life. While some have bakery businesses of their own, yet others have websites with fabulous recipes. Some are writers, photographers, and food stylists. Either way they roll, the recipes are amazing.
Second, the magazine represents whatever season we’re in and gives homage to all fruits, spices, and other ingredients available at the moment. Like the current issue, Sept/Oct 2018 has everything about Autumn. Ingredients pumpkin, maple, date, fig, and pear are used quite often in this issue.
Thirdly, a cookbook section featuring new cookbooks for the season, ingredients to have on hand, and a story featuring a baking destination or place, delving into what makes them so special.

You’ll find a short expose on the contributors of each issue and a page of kitchen techniques to use in your own kitchen. Bake From Scratch will put you in the mood to bake even when you think you don’t want to. I have never gone wrong with any recipe and have turned some recipes into my own versions very easily. That’s the beauty of baking or any recipe really. Remember a recipe is only a guide to creating food we all love.

So, take a peek at Bake From Scratch online or at your local bookstore. If you love baking like I do, spend time really reading the magazine from cover to cover. Heck, forget about taking a peek, just go buy a copy. You won’t be sorry and get to baking right away. I’m telling you…you won’t be able to stop yourself from turning on the oven. You’ll also make the effort to purchase this magazine every other month since that’s when it’s available. I’ve never missed an issue and you shouldn’t either.
