I’m feeling lucky today, how about you? Yes, you are in luck because I’m sharing a new recipe for Easy Apple Swiss Cheese. This bread will change your life.
This is the last of my Irish recipes for the week. I’ve you “Rustic Irish Buttermilk Bread” and “Chocolate Dipped Whiskey Balls” to enjoy. Bread and sweets, oh boy!
This particular recipe so ridiculously good I can’t stand it. Nothing in the title resembles the taste manifested by the combination of these ingredients.
This easy bread is no-rise and combines applesauce, Swiss cheese, maple syrup and honey. Sounds like the bread would be incredibly sweet yet it is not.
Did I mention this bread makes for a great sandwich like chicken salad and corned beef or simply toasted with butter and marmalade. Just scrumptious!
Easy Apple Swiss Cheese Bread
Ready to start baking a loaf of this delectable bread? I can’t wait for you to try it. Batter in mere minutes and bread in an hour.
Combine flours, baking powder, baking soda and salt then set aside.
Using an electric mixer, beat butter and sugar until soft and fluffy. Be sure to scrape down sides of bowl as needed.
Beat in maple syrup, honey and eggs, one at a time and mix until thoroughly combined. No sight of egg should remain.
Remove bowl from mixer and gradually stir in flour mixture until just combined with a large spatula. fold in applesauce and Swiss cheese.
Pour batter into an oiled loaf pan and bake for at least 55 minutes. Test for doneness with a toothpick inserted and it comes out clean.
Cool bread in pan for 10 minutes then remove to wire rack. Ready to taste. Give yourself a few minutes.
Easy Apple Swiss Cheese Bread
Allowing the bread to cool until just warm is best. If it’s too hot then you won’t get the full effect, the taste. Slice the bread to your liking. Like I mentioned, this slightly sweet bread is truly indulgent and delicious on its own. Coffee or tea anyone?
Toasted, this bread is superb with softened salted butter and orange marmalade and served at breakfast. Enjoy for an afternoon snack. However, you slice it, you won’t be disappointed.
Go ahead and get your bake on. The weather this weekend looks to be perfect for baking. Stay indoors and create a masterpiece in your kitchen that will definitely be a repeat performer.
Enjoy my fellow bakers and Happy Baking!
