YAHOOOOO! It’s grilling season. First of all, let me say thank you to @TheCooksCook on a delicious idea for grilling beef. I never get tired of grilling and finding new flavors to work with producing tender and juicy meat. The suggestion was to use beef tips but I decided to use beautiful steaks for this recipe. Memorial Day is around the corner and I highly recommend my Grilled Saucy New York Strip Steaks.
This is the one of the worlds easiest recipes and I must say the marinade is divine. I will definitely use it to make kabobs very soon. I’ll keep you posted on the outcome. There is no doubt those little beefy morsels will be just as delicious. The marinade is simply your favorite barbecue sauce and Caesar salad dressing. Make sure to use equal parts, 1:1 and do not use creamy dressing. Use more or less depending on how much meat you will be marinating. Also keep your marinade to use as additional glaze while cooking your meat. Just pour into a small saucepan and boil for a couple of minutes. Brush marinate on steaks during last couple minutes of cooking and there you have Tender and juicy Grilled Saucy New York Strip Steaks.

I’m going to waste a bunch of time telling you how much I love the flavors in this recipe but to use high quality beef and that this recipe is a must try. Just mark my words. My husband and I even used the leftovers to top a salad a day later. That’s how good even reheated. Holy cow, my kind of recipe. Go ahead and head to your market, pick up steaks, barbecue sauce, Caesar dressing then mix up the marinade and let steaks get some love for at least six hours to overnight in the refrigerator. Believe me these steaks will be heaven in your mouth. My Mom would be proud. Happy Grilling!

Grilled Saucy New York Strip Steaks
2 – 12 oz. New York Strip Steaks, at least ¾ inch thick
1 cup barbecue sauce (I used Sweet Baby Rays Hot and Spicy)
1 cup Caesar Salad dressing (I used Ken’s; do not use creamy)
In a small mixing bowl, combine barbecue sauce and salad dressing.
Place steaks in a large Ziploc plastic bag. Pour sauce mixture into bag with steaks and close. Massage steaks several times then place bag in refrigerator overnight.
Remove steaks from marinade and let stand at room temperature for 30 minutes. To prepare steaks, heat and clean grill according to manufacturer’s directions, heating to about 400 degrees.
Place steaks on grill and cook 5 minutes or until seared nicely. Flip steaks over and sear other side, cooking approximately 5 minutes or desired doneness is achieved. I cooked these steaks to medium, internal temperature 125 to 130 degrees. Do not overcook.
Note: Heat marinade in a small saucepan a few minutes to brush on steaks several times while still on the grill. Let rest 10 minutes before serving. I recommend using a barbecue sauce you love.
