Honey Glazed Pork Belly Slices
So simple to make on a weekend morning by laying slices in single layers on a foil-lined jelly roll pan. Sprinkle lightly with salt and pepper then bake in oven, flipping over half way during baking. Brush honey on both sides using a pastry brush therefore baking until golden brown. Hence, you have created heavenly meat, all sticky, sweet, and savory in each bite.
These pork belly slices are like eating candy without all the sugar. You get both sweet and savory flavor from the honey coating and the crunchy skin edge reminiscent of pork cracklin’. To keep pork belly from tasting fatty, relevant slow roasting is recommended. This breaks down the fat as it becomes meat-like. So now you have crunchy and chewy texture with the most succulent flavor. One or two pieces will not cure your morning pork craving I guarantee. Therefore if you are eating Paleo or a low carb diet hence this recipe is for you. I suggest like I do most things eat Honey Glazed Pork Belly Slices in moderation.
