Seems like we’re always in search of ways to snack healthier. Well, you’re not alone because all of us need a snack now and then. At the beginning of the year I decided my resolution for the year was to eat smarter as often as possible. Hey, we all slip off the wagon for one reason or another at some point. Work schedules get crazy, change in plans, feeling under the weather, etc. as life just happens. I have learned not to beat myself up and remind myself daily not to sweat the small stuff. So that’s how my Sunny Paris Fresh Dill Dip came about. I love dill dip but store brands tend to have added sugars and I needed to find a way to make it at home. If you love creamy dips for snacking then this dip is right up your alley and it’s low-carb. Can I get an Amen?
Sunny Paris Fresh Dill Dip
Made with softened cream cheese and sour cream to start. All great dips start with these two creamy ingredients. I used full-fat cream cheese and sour cream but you can use Neuchâtel cream cheese, greek yogurt, and light sour cream to reduce fat if desired. Taste and creaminess is still the same. Believe me I will not sacrifice flavor and I can’t recommend something to you if I don’t like the outcome.
Add in lemon juice and Worcestershire create and incorporate that special tang only these two ingredients can bring. Fresh dill is the feature ingredient which cannot be missed along with Penzeys Sunny Paris seasoning. Sunny Paris is one of my favorite seasonings on the planet. I’m a huge fan of Penzeys for my spices. Sunny Paris gives this dip the added punch to make Sunny Paris Fresh Dill Dip totally irresistible and addictive. Stir in a little heavy cream ( can use half and half or milk if desired) until a creamy texture is achieved. I like my dips on the thicker side but you be the judge.
