“Three Burger Sauces To Enjoy This Summer”

We eat burgers year around, right? Yet it seems they’re cooked most often outdoors in the Summer. With a few exceptions like my Juicy Lucy’s, I love a grilled burger. Sometimes plain and simple with just cheese or with all the fixins is simply a matter of taste. You know what I mean like tomato, onion, lettuce and a fantastic burger sauce. This post is about Three Burger Sauces To Enjoy This Summer. They are part of the fixins. Not just plain mustard, ketchup, or mayonnaise but something to take your burger to the next level. Since staying at home, being creative in the kitchen is at an all-time high and I’m happy to share.

Sweet, Spicy and Savory Sauces To Take Your Burgers Next Level

First, let’s enjoy a burger with Chipotle Dill Pickle Sauce. Made with mayo, chipotle hot sauce, ketchup, dill pickles, and chipotle chile powder. The chipotle definitely stands out with it’s smokey heat. The pickles add a some texture along with taste. This sauce is not sweet although you can add more ketchup and honey for a bit more sweetness if desired. Enjoy this sauce with burgers topped with American cheese on toasted sesame seed buns.

Second is Spicy Honey Mustard Sauce. This sauce is delicious and works marvelously with burgers topped with Gouda cheese. Dijon, stone-ground mustards are blended with sambal oelek for the heat factor. Honey is added for sweetness and the creaminess comes from mayonnaise being added. If you prefer, use bbq sauce instead of mayonnaise. Both give this sauce a different flavor. I like to split the recipe and add mayo to one half and bbq sauce to the other. My husband prefers bbq sauce mixed in. Toasted brioche buns work well with this burger sauce.

Third is my Roasted Red Pepper Sauce I can’t get enough of. using roasted red peppers can leave the sauce on the thinner side so unflavored gelatin is added to thicken this sauce. Allow sauce to sit 30 minutes before spreading on burgers. This sauce contains roasted red peppers, garlic, serrano pepper for some heat, mayonnaise, white vinegar, sugar, gelatin for thickening and salt and pepper to taste. Roasted red peppers make a great sauce for pasta and so you might be tempted to use this sauce on pasta. I’ve actually though about it myself. Hmmm… Anyway, this sauce is fantastic served on stuffed burgers with like pimento cheese and on toasted pretzel buns.
