New Goals, New Skills, Reconnect, Self Care, Staying Positive
What recipes would like to see in 2021?
Hey y’all! Welcome to a brand new year and good riddance to 2020. Are you excited and just happy for a new beginning, ready to take charge of your life again? I’d say yes as most of us are ready. That said, covid-19 is still here and not going away anytime soon. As a community we are better able and equipped to protect ourselves since this disease first surfaced. The suffering in families for so many reasons has been heart breaking yet we still look for hope, joy and continue onward. So my fellow foodies, what recipes would you like to see in 2021?
Making homemade meals will still be a huge part of our lives going into 2021. No matter your diet, we all have to eat. In recent times some of us have spent more time in the kitchen than ever. You have found you actually enjoy cooking for the family and cooking favorites. So maybe a goal you’ve set for 2021 is to cook even more and try new things. I consider cooking a new goal and a skill? How about it? Will you use 2021 to reconnect with old friends and family? I suggest taking the time because it does the heart good. It’s that simple.
Take time out for yourself for whatever you desire. We do not do this enough and I think we need “me time” more than ever. Rejuvenate your spirit through prayer, meditation, yoga, reading, writing, walking, exercising or anything else that puts your mind and body in a solemn place even for 15 minutes a day. I’ve learned to do this in the past few months and vowed to continue in 2021. Taking time for yourself keeps positive thoughts at the forefront and negativity out. Minute by minute, hour by hour, and day by day positivity will rule out, enabling you to help yourself and others.

I aim to please so think about what foods I have not posted on my website you’d like to see or ingredients you have not seen me cook with. If you happen to ask for something I’m not familiar with, I’ll cook right along with you. Let’s have some fun in 2021 with new creations and kicked up favorites. I look forward to your suggestions. Have a great weekend and we’ll talk soon.
