In December while looking through recipes and figuring out what to bake for the holidays, I came upon a recipe my sister had found. She loves anything white chocolate. Seems as I never got a chance to bake this recipe until several weeks ago. I must share this recipe but I’m warning you now that these little sweet treats are so delicious, amazing and addicting. They’re decadent, fudgy, chewy, and cake-like all at the same time. This recipe for White Chocolate Brownies comes to you from one of my favorite sites Broma Bakery. These brownies were a hit at my husband’s workplace, my workplace and of course with my sister.
White Chocolate Brownies
First, they’re so easy to make and perfect for after dinner or after school treat. Melt butter and white chocolate together then add in egg, sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix and fold in flour. Pour batter into parchment paper lined 8-inch square pan. Bake brownies, sprinkle with powdered sugar and let cool completely before serving. Crazy good!!!
If your family is not big on chocolate but love the texture of brownies, give these White Chocolate Brownies a try. This is a great recipe for kids learning to cook and bake. White Chocolate Brownies
White Chocolate Brownies
1 cup Ghirardelli white chocolate chips
1/2 cup butter (1 stick)
1 large egg, room temperature
One – 14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk
1 T. vanilla extract
1 t. kosher salt
1 1/2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
Confectioners’ sugar, for sprinkling on top
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Line an 8x8x2 inch square baking pan with parchment paper; set aside.
In a medium-size microwave safe bowl, melt butter and white chocolate chips, starting at 30 seconds in microwave. Stir and if not completely melted, place bowl back in microwave for an additional 10 – 15 seconds.
Add in vanilla extract, sweetened condensed milk, egg and salt; stir to combine. Fold in flour until just combined and do not over mix.
Pour batter into prepared baking pan and bake for 30 minutes and slightly browned. Brownies will puff up in the middle and then sink slightly once removed from oven heat. Remove brownies from oven and sprinkle top with confectioners’ sugar.
Allow brownies to cool in pan for 10 minutes. Remove brownies from pan to cooling rack. Let cool completely before cutting and serving.
