“3 Holiday Cocktails to Serve Warm”

Merry Christmas Eve Eve! As I write this post for my 3 Holiday Cocktails to Serve Warm, I’m actually drinking a hot mug of one these holiday drinks. Imagine that! Of course, I was digging through an old recipe file. That file had drink recipes from since I was old enough to start drinking. While I finish my Hot Eggnog Punch, you read each recipe and choose which cocktail will most delight you and your holiday guests.

Keep your guests warm and toasty with Hot Eggnog Punch, Brandied Hot Chocolate, Hot Jamaican Coffee

To start things off, the first warm drink is Hot Eggnog Punch. This a large batch recipe and takes just minutes to prepare. If you love eggnog, this one’s for you. While this eggnog punch is not as thick as traditional eggnog, the flavors do not disappoint. It’s heaven in a mug.

You get a hint of orange and cinnamon; nothing overpowering at all. Just a lovely blend of flavors with an added kick of rum. No eggy taste either. Also, rum can be omitted, if desired.

Serve this punch immediately or refrigerate. To reheat, pour into a saucepan and warm until steaming, whisking occasionally.  Serve topped with whipped cream and a sprinkle of nutmeg. Cheers!

The second cocktail is Brandied Hot Chocolate. Oh, this cocktail is a winner. The addition of brandy takes this drink to another level, good to great. Easy to prepare with ingredients you may already have.

Alcohol will cook out yet if you would like to omit the brandy, use maple flavoring starting with 1 teaspoon. Again, serve this warm cocktail topped with whipped cream. Recipe can be increased for more servings.

Third and last but not least is Hot Jamaican Coffee. Straight from my old file comes a complex tasting cocktail yet will warm your tummy. Coffee drinkers this is for you. Perfect for after dinner. Also, not for lightweight drinkers the perfect warm me up. Brew a big pot of coffee and start mixing.

Serve hot with whipped cream.
