“Grilled Cilantro Jalapeno Pork Chops”

I love grilling pork chops in the Summertime. Just something about that smokey taste blended with herbs and spices. Even a touch of citrus seems to do wonders like my Grilled Cilantro Jalapeno Pork Chops.

Pork chops are marinated in a blend of cilantro, jalapeno, garlic, lime juice, rice wine vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper. Every ingredient hits a spot on your tongue except jalapeno. For more heat, mince the jalapeno, seeds included and for less heat, thinly slice the peppers.

The flavor is earthy, smokey with a hint of citrus and heat. Tender and delicious! Are you hungry? Well, come on and let’s start grilling. You’re going to love these pork chops.

What ingredients do you need?

Tender and juicy, grilled perfection

You may have many of, if not all the ingredients needed to make this pork chop recipe. Start with 4 boneless pork loin chops no less than 1/2-inch thick as more is better here.

Chop fresh cilantro and slice or mince jalapeno pepper. I mentioned earlier to slice peppers for less heat and mince with seeds for more heat. Add an additional pepper for even more heat for you hot food lovers. Sometimes I add one more depending on who I’m feeding.

Combine all ingredients except chops in a plastic bag or lidded container, massage bag or mix with spoon until well combined. Place pork chops in marinade and cover completely. Close bag or container and marinate for a minimum of 30 minutes to overnight.

How to make Grilled Cilantro Jalapeno Pork Chops

Fresh cilantro, spicy jalapeno, and lime are a blessed combination

This is one of the easiest recipes you’ll grill all Summer. Be sure to make your favorite grilling sides like grilled vegetables to serve with these grilled pork chops.

Moving on, bring chops to room temperature then preheat your grill according to manufacturer’s instructions. Maintain grill heat to 375 to 400 degrees.

Remove chops from bag or container to plate and cover with marinade. Marinade can be removed all together if you like yet I highly recommend leaving it on while cooking.

Baste with marinade while cooking after grill marks are formed and then discard any leftover marinade. Try really hard not to overcook your chops because the end result is disastrous. Remove chops from grill, rest and serve. Yes!

Brush on more marinade while cooking as I was feeding gentle palates

You’re going to love these Grilled Cilantro Jalapeno Pork Chops. They’re tender as long as the chops aren’t over cooked. That said, you’ll enjoy bright cilantro, a bit of heat from jalapeno pepper, garlic, and the tang of rice wine vinegar and lime juice. Figure in olive oil, salt and black pepper and a great marinade worthy of any pork chops.

One reminder while grilling and the famous grills, baste the chops with marinade. This adds another layer of flavor and once chops come from the grill, sprinkle with flaked sea salt and fresh black pepper. I believe dinner is served.
