Yes, you have probably seen these candies on Pinterest or online somewhere yet I have found these little gems are often forgotten about. Shame on us because they taste great, easy to make and the kiddos love them. These little candies make great boxed gifts for family and friends including people you may want to say thank you to. Small boxes and bags are available everywhere for gift giving.
Holiday Pretzel Candy – Two Ways
These recipes are super easy and keep extremely well to enjoy through the holidays. The most tedious part is unwrapping the hugs and rolos, otherwise, easy peasey. Lay pretzels on a rimmed jelly roll pan covered in parchment paper. Place a hugs and rolos on pretzels, bake at baking time referred to in the recipe. remove from oven and top with M&M’s. Let cool completely and serve as desired. See, could not be simpler.

Holiday Pretzel Candy – Two Ways
No. 1:
70 Snyder “Snaps” square pretzels (use plain not butter)
1 Share-size bag (approx.70) Hershey’s Hugs, unwrapped
1 bag Milk Chocolate M&M’s (70 Christmas red and green)
Heat oven to 200 degrees and line a rimmed jelly roll pan with parchment paper.
Lay pretzels on sheet pan in a single layer then top each pretzel with one hugs candy.
Bake in oven for approximately 3 to 4 minutes until chocolate becomes shiny soft. Candy should keep its shape and not melt completely.
Remove pretzels from oven then carefully place one M&M in center of candy and press down to spread candy.
Place sheet pan in refrigerator for at least 15 minutes to allow candy to set. Store candy in an airtight container at room temperature.
Makes 70 pretzel candies.

No. 2:
80 Snyder Mini pretzels
80 Rolo chocolate & caramel candy (share-size bag), unwrapped
80 Milk Chocolate M&M’s (Christmas red and green)
Heat oven to 350 degrees and line a rimmed jelly roll pan with parchment paper.
Lay pretzels in a single layer on sheet pan then place a Rolo candy on each pretzel.
Bake for 3 to 4 minutes until candy has softened.
Remove form oven and top each pretzel with and M&M candy, pressing to slightly flatten Rolo candy.
Refrigerate to chill for 15 minutes or until chocolate has set.
Makes 80 pretzel candies.
